High stability and recyclable cellulose-based fluorescent paper derived from waste bagasse for anti-counterfeiting

Developing fluorescent paper-based materials with recyclable, environmental friendly, excellent stable and uniform performances are still an urgent challenge at present. Herein, a simple, green, high-efficiency method for the fabrication of high stability recyclable cellulose-based paper from waste bagasse via Hantzsch reaction is proposed. Compared to pristine paper, surface modification showed little effect on morphology, mechanical properties, thermal performance appearance. Meanwhile, good writing printing ability remained. The prepared fluorescence performance, which very even treated acidic, alkaline, different solvents 24 h. It can be processed into security patterns. What’s more, this strategy could extended by using other compositions aldehyde groups. Considering their functional features, as well convenient efficient process, our papers hold great potential applied in many fields such anti-counterfeiting.
